Overview

Wei Lian has 37 years of experience in advising clients on structuring the development, construction and financing of major privatisation and infrastructure projects in Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar. This includes advising on the structuring of clients’ commercial arrangements for their participation in the projects and financing of projects and issues relating to compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. She also has extensive experience in policy and law reform. She has advised government agencies on numerous regulatory reform projects, including the drafting of legislation and regulations. Wei Lian has advised on the development of some of the largest infrastructure projects in Malaysia and overseas, spanning private power generation, water treatment and supply, waste water services and waste disposal, transport and highways, land development and land reclamation.
